We went to Ongpin Street in Binondo, where we were able to taste mouthwatering dishes by Elmer Apostol, the chef in the restaurant. We watched through the open window as he worked his way through the kitchen. The dramatic display of fire as it diffused with the ingredients in the pan left us in awe ; our group had a little chat with the chef and he was nice enough to accomodate us. Elmer Apostol is 39 years old and worked in the restaurant for 18 and a half years. His personal favorites are Buttered Chicken, Lapu-Lapu, Calamares and Mixed Seafood. He works everyday for the sake of his family ; that same love, he translated to the dishes he cooks everyday.
